Commercial fit

Define the oil you want to sell before choosing the line

The commercial target decides whether the project should stop at crude oil, filtered oil, dewaxed clear oil, refined oil, bottled oil, or private-label packs.

Defines finished oil, packaging, by-product outlets, quality expectations, and real project readiness.

Regional bulk oil

Prioritizes output, manageable cost, storage, and local acceptance of color or winter haze.

Clear retail oil

Needs dehulling discipline, wax control, polishing, clean transfer, and consistent bottle appearance.

Private-label program

Adds label size, cap, carton, filling accuracy, batch traceability, and market documentation.

Bottle, tin, tank, or flexi-bag changes the required finish

The same crude oil can lead to very different equipment scopes depending on the final selling form.

Product definition

Fields to decide before equipment sizing

  • Target oil: crude bulk, filtered edible, dewaxed clear, RBD refined, cold-pressed premium, or private-label retail.
  • Container: tank, flexi-bag, tin, PET, glass, pouch, or specified bottle format.
  • By-products: separated hulls, press cake, powdering, bagging, feed sale, or biomass use.
  • Proof materials: real raw seed photos, workshop videos, existing tank dimensions, and target bottle samples.

Avoid mismatch

Common gaps that make sunflower offers inaccurate

  • Asking for bottled clear oil while excluding dewaxing and final filtration.
  • Quoting whole-seed pressing while expecting kernel-route oil color.
  • Ignoring cake and hull handling until the workshop layout is already fixed.
  • Mixing high-oleic and regular seed without tank separation or changeover records.
